Jim is a Wildlife Biologist 2 and has been employed with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency since 1998.  His primary responsibility is Tennessee's wild trout resources, so much of his time in the summer and early fall is spent sampling our mountain streams.  He graduated from Sullivan East High School in 1980 and has B.S. (1984) and M.S. (1987) degrees in Wildlife and Fisheries Science from the University of Tennessee.  After spending three years in Georgia as an environmental consultant, he worked with Dr. Richard Strange at UT as a Research Associate on the cooperative UT/TWRA Wild Trout Project (1990-1998).
